The On-Camera/Audition Workout Tuesday

A Blueprint For Audition Power

To book work, you must let go and let your talent, your training, and your unique artistry propel you into the room like a conquering hero. Champions let the work affect them, have a strong point of view and make bold choices that are guided by their well-tuned instincts.

And after doing that work, they walk in the room and boldly offer their work with muscular generosity. The On-Camera/Audition Workout Tuesday is an 8-Week class- for working actors auditioning with regularity- that shows you how to step boldly into the light of your unique artistry and burn the audition room to the ground with your talent.

The Work

You will be guided through your 8-week journey by our amazing BGB Master Teachers (see Teacher tab) who will address some of the issues that may get in the way of your time in the casting room:

  • being “in your head”
  • needing to “get it right”
  • hoping to please the casting director and decision makers
  • worrying about the lines
  • wanting the audition tips and tricks
  • facing the resistance that comes up around auditioning

Learn how to launch into any piece of material with the confidence needed to make bold, personal choices, no matter what the scene or how much information you have about it.

You will develop a relationship with the camera and understand how you can do your best work in collaboration with it.

Find your own beautiful, unique voice in every moment of your audition…  Be ready for anything a Casting Director might throw at you. Stay loose, be present, and embrace adjustments! Take total ownership of your audition by getting present, getting personal, getting connected. Unleash your power through improv for the scripted audition. Navigate the treacherous waters of your mind to become an audition champion.

With the guidance of your BGB Master Teachers, you will mine the real keys to audition success- how to get really specific- using the text and any other information you have to sleuth out the clues given in order to create your own specifics; how to find out where the scene- the characters- live in you, and what they mean to you. Being “interesting” and being “right” means being uniquely “you.” And in the end, that’s what we’re looking for – YOU. So let’s find YOU in all this.

Your work will be on-camera for a large number of classes, but not exclusively. You will work from a variety of material sources, some that you bring in, some that are assigned. All in service of the ease and power required to show up in auditions, on-camera and off!

This class is not an audition or employment opportunity and there is no suggestion or guarantee of an audition or employment as a result of taking this class.
