In her oral dissent to the Supreme Court’s majority opinion invalidating a key provision of the Voting Rights Act, RBG quoted a familiar MLK Jr. line, but added her own coda. “‘The arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice,’” but only “if there is a steadfast commitment to see the task through to completion.”

RBG spent her life pushing to bend the arc. It is now upon all of us.

And on the eve of Rosh Hashanah... respect for her memory is a call to Revolution.

PRESENTING: A BIRTH STORY. A new series of Zoom SH

PRESENTING: A BIRTH STORY. A new series of Zoom SHORTS from BGB! The first two episodes are now streaming at the link in our bio now.

As we began to tinker with Zoom in early April, one of the scenes that came forward was between a couple who were separated through the birth of their first child due to the pandemic. Something about this scenario struck a chord. It encapsulated a dual experience many of us have been faced with this year: the pain in relinquishing expectations of how life is supposed to be and simultaneously knowing more than ever what is truly important and worth our time in life: love.

As we watch the virus spread across the globe, the interconnected nature of humanity becomes so poignant and vital.

We started to think about the web of people who would be affected by the birth of this child, the 6 degrees of separation, the 12 degrees and so on. From there, A BIRTH STORY evolved organically, and was written, performed, directed, and edited by this unwavering group of actors as a team effort on Zoom. We hope it celebrates some of the challenges this historic year has put us through and how we have still managed to love, forgive, and grow despite it all.

This 9/11, we remember the kindness, the compassion, the love and the unity that we all showed in the wake of tragedy. The enduring legacy is not fear. It's that in the face of horror,we have the capacity to do good, to help those in need, and to overcome division. For a brief moment in time we were one city, one country, one people.

This truly remarkable collection of 2020 short films, shot on Zoom, titled LITTLE BOXES - "I Think You're on Mute" - comes from our "In Rehearsal" Ongoing Class, an ensemble of mighty artistic warriors who show up every week for each other, to feed their creative souls, and to create personal and meaningful content- this series made on Zoom during Covid. This week we address the challenges of love, separation, alienation, and family, underscored by the pandemic.
