Learn how to launch into any piece of material with the confidence needed to make bold, personal choices, no matter what the scene or how much information you have about it.
You will develop a relationship with the camera and understand how you can do your best work in collaboration with it.
Find your own beautiful, unique voice in every moment of your audition… Be ready for anything a Casting Director might throw at you. Stay loose, be present, and embrace adjustments! Take total ownership of your audition by getting present, getting personal, getting connected. Unleash your power through improv for the scripted audition. Navigate the treacherous waters of your mind to become an audition champion.
With the guidance of your BGB Master Teachers, you will mine the real keys to audition success- how to get really specific- using the text and any other information you have to sleuth out the clues given in order to create your own specifics; how to find out where the scene- the characters- live in you, and what they mean to you. Being “interesting” and being “right” means being uniquely “you.” And in the end, that’s what we’re looking for – YOU. So let’s find YOU in all this.
Your work will be on-camera for a large number of classes, but not exclusively. You will work from a variety of material sources, some that you bring in, some that are assigned. All in service of the ease and power required to show up in auditions, on-camera and off!

The 8-Week Audition Intensive has changed the way I approach auditions, not just technically, but energetically - and it has both reaffirmed my commitment to my craft and reconnected me to the joy that brought me to this town in the first place. After last night's class, I felt empowered, energized and more in control of my career than I have in years. I'll be taking all I have learned from each of the Master Teachers in the past eight weeks into the rooms and into my daily work for many years to come. Thank you for providing a wonderful experience.
I immediately fell in love with the BGB Studio after taking The 8-Week Audition Intensive class and couldn't wait to get into another class. I love that there's no ego at this studio, there's just truth and work and honesty. The space and environment make me feel safe and open, classmates are supportive and encouraging. And I love that I leave class feeling so connected. BGB Studio is a beautiful place to do the work and explore your craft.
First and foremost, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the space that you've created for actors to re-learn and re-connect with themselves without judgment. This has been an amazing 8 weeks of discovery and regaining of ownership/power in my work that I hadn't realized I was surrendering for one reason or another. I feel more alive, grateful, excited, curious and above all TRUSTING of exactly who I am and what I have to offer, as an actor and as a human being. The way I perceive/approach life has shifted in ways I never anticipated. No amount of thank you's would be enough to accurately represent that. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
The 8-Week Audition Intensive course has given me a lot of confidence in being myself and not playing a character description when I walk into the room. My favorite part is that you get to work with multiple teachers- from teachers that are actors, to casting directors. This gives you a perspective from the people that are in the casting rooms weekly and know what the industry is looking for today. I look forward to continuing my training in an ongoing BGB class!
