What Actors are Saying
When I considered which acting class to take, I reached out to two trusted casting professional friends to ask which studios were most respected and would speak best on my resume. The one overlapping recommendation was The BGB Studio, and it's easy to see why. There was never a one-size-fits-all approach. Each exercise was fresh, not a carbon copy of my previous training for film and theatre. My classmates were a joy to collaborate with and support. The honesty and vulnerability brought by our teachers brought out the same in our performances and our work. I would highly recommend BGB to others, whether you've been in this town for 12 years as I have, or are just starting out.
I'm so glad I've joined the 8-Week Workout! It keeps me motivated to stay "on path!" Wonderful classmates and amazing teachers who challenge and give so much. I'm having a great time along with learning and refining - it's an exciting journey! Thank you for the opportunity to help me rediscover that thrill "of what might be around the next bend”! And again, thank you for your insightful and motivational messages.
I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and the depth that the instructors brought to the work week after week. I found myself having lots of fun, letting go, and learning techniques and insight which I hadn’t used in ages or didn’t know before. I highly recommend any actor, at any level to take these classes.
The BGB Studio is life-changing. All the teachers in the 8-Week Workout were phenomenal & shared gems of wisdom each week, guiding us to be better humans & actors. Stellar actors are drawn to this Studio in general. I'm left challenged, inspired & made wonderful connections & friends along the way! Thanks BGB!
Thank you for the continuous support you all give. It is so damn refreshing to hear the words coming from your mouth and the actions in your work. Teachers have been great, hands on, and super invested. The insight has been extremely informative and has supplied some foundational tools to put in my bag. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Studying with Risa at The BGB Studio was a gift that will keep on giving. Her years of service in this Industry and her wealth of knowledge are essential to not only the actors' work, but the work of writers, directors, producers, and creative execs. The focus on bringing your true, authentic self to “the work” is paramount, and that’s where The BGB Studio shines. I feel blessed to have been welcomed into the community she and Steve created. Thank you!
