Auditioning & Self-Taping keep changing. Here’s how to meet the moment with success!

If you...
•   feel you don't have a strong script analysis technique for auditions...
•   dread getting ready for a self-tape the minute it hits your inbox...
•   are constantly getting in your own way because you're trying to "impress Casting" or "be perfect..."
•   spend way too much time taping...
•   want to know what Casting really thinks about your tapes...
•   feel intimidated going into a Zoom Audition/Callback or an EcoCast Live (no do-overs, no watching it back )...
•   get completely triggered by the overthinking that goes into self-taping in general...

The BGB Self-Tape Bootcamp, led by Master Teacher Corey Parker, with Casting Director/BGB founder Risa Bramon Garcia, is a 6 week intensive practice that ensures you’re ready for whatever the audition throws at you by creating compelling, undeniable Self-Tapes and Zoom auditions. Risa helps you navigate the post-strike casting process and brings her rich perspective as a CD to the process. Corey shares his decades of coaching expertise and passion to help you let go of fear, and adopt a new, more authentic, more joyful, and more alive way of showing up on camera with presence, ease, and specificity, fully dropped into the story, all cylinders firing. And the Bootcamp guides you to create habits that serve you in building a lasting career.

The work...

Being an actor can be isolating and this online Zoom Bootcamp offers instant connection to our creative community. Plus every minute working in our Zoom class addresses every issue that confronts today’s actor.

In the Self-Tape Bootcamp you’ll work directly with Master Teacher/Coach Corey Parker and Casting Director/Master Teacher Risa Bramon Garcia to:

  • Hone Script Analysis
  • Record your self-tapes for professional review and re-working
  • Get personal feedback and guidance
  • Practice a Mock audition and Callbacks
  • Prepare for different genres
  • Work with physical action
  • Own entering and handling yourself in the Zoom room
  • Get real world advice and intel on on the casting process

The material we work on includes a variety of scenes chosen by you from provided folders and/or your teachers, including material that is challenging and essential for 2024. The work is recorded and sent to you for your PRIVATE review.

Casting Directors see more self-tapes today than ever before and they need an actor who brings in a breath of fresh air. Learn how to do this in your auditions by sharing characters who are living, breathing, three-dimensional human beings. Every time.

The Self-Tape Bootcamp helps you evolve your practice to include your most authentic self, work that is alive and multi-dimensional. And you get to do this work with like-minded, creative, supportive actors who work with you as readers and as colleagues.

Every Casting Director wants you to be who YOU ARE and is rooting for you. We are here to introduce you to a more effective and empowered practice so that you show up in your Self-Tapes and Zoom auditions with confidence and creative power. Here’s the best part: After the 6 week BGB Bootcamp you're ready for the new Industry in 2024 and beyond.

"After surviving a brutal pilot season, I took Corey’s class to find whatever it was that I thought the casting directors and producers and network executives weren’t seeing in me. Pretty quickly into the class I realized that they weren’t seeing me because I wasn’t giving them me. I was giving some bizarro version of the me I thought they wanted. I will forever be grateful to Corey for showing me how to bring myself to the material, and ultimately, the joy back into my work."

- Paulina Bugembe, MARVELOUS AND THE BLACK HOLE

"Risa loves actors. What a relief to enter a room with a casting director that wants to put you in the best possible place and head space to do your job. She doesn’t want to hear apologies or excuses, she wants to help you get to a place where together you create a moment or series of moments that are fearless, honest, and personal to you. She knows how to maintain that elevated edge the actor needs to step up to, and hopefully jump off of. Risa will not be there to catch them but she will be the most receptive witness of the actors' plunge. And she creates an electric room for those plunges to happen.”

- Mitch Eakins, TURN: WASHINGTON’S SPIES

"What an amazing class! Corey was really fantastic- I learnt so much more about my process and he guided me further to where I need to go- he really opened another portal which I put into practice today. He framed it for me so well, and I walked away nourished, knowing that I am getting closer to my core. He was so good with everyone and I learnt so much from all the advice he gave."

- Henry Hereford, CROSSBONES

"My experience with Risa is one of the most profound I have ever had as an actor. She helped me understand the basic principles of being true to a character in terms of finding the crisis. Her insights have changed how I audition, how I tackle this Industry, and not only how I see myself but more importantly how I believe in myself. I am indebted to her for making such a powerful change in my approach to acting.”

- Amy Jennings, A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD

"Essential for any actor during this time. Get comfortable with the new normal for virtual auditions! Corey is welcoming and instantly makes actors feel comfortable. Get to know your instrument and how to make it work for your self-tapes!"

- Emily Skelton, LOW ROLLERS
